Trek My Ride with Sven Nys
A personal story about cycling, passion and passing it on to the next generation.

For the Trek My Ride campaign, Trek Bikes partnered with Sven Nys. He is a two time Cyclocross World Champion, a father, a coach and the founder of the Sven Nys Academy.
This campaign is not about results or podiums. It is about what cycling truly means on a personal level and how that meaning can grow and change over time.

Sven Nys is one of the most influential figures in cyclocross history. His career was built on discipline, consistency and a deep love for racing. When his professional career came to an end, that passion did not disappear. Instead, it evolved.

Today, Sven is the driving force behind the Sven Nys Cycling Center in Baal, Belgium. It is a place where children discover cycling in its purest form. They learn how to ride, how to fall, how to get back up and most importantly how to enjoy the bike.
This philosophy lies at the heart of the Trek My Ride campaign.

From world champion to mentor

In this film, Sven appears not only as a former champion, but as a mentor for the next generation of cyclists. His approach reflects how he was raised himself. There is no pressure and no forced ambition. The focus is on creating an environment where passion can grow naturally.

As Sven explains, this is how his parents guided him. Without pressure and with joy.

That mindset aligns closely with the idea behind Trek My Ride. Every rider has their own story, their own motivation and their own relationship with the bike. For some, cycling leads to competition. For others, it builds confidence, freedom or connection. Every ride has value.

A lifelong connection to the bike

The campaign shows Sven in his natural environment. Riding, coaching, observing and enjoying every moment. Whether he is surrounded by young riders or cycling on his own, one thing is clear. The joy of riding has never left him.

The Trek My Ride campaign with Sven Nys highlights how cycling connects generations. It shows how experience is passed on and how a love for the bike can shape an entire lifetime. It is a story about growth, balance and staying close to what first made you fall in love with cycling.

Because long after the finish line, the ride continues.
